How do I change the name & email address on a User Account?
In most cases, ALR users will manage their own user account information, including the User Account's name and email address.
Usually, this task does not require an ALR to communicate with the Certification Unit's Support Team.
Step 1: identify the User Account you want to change.
For a name change only, you can simply update the name in My Preferences, and save. Much less complicated!
For an email address change, you must have:
- password access to the QuickBase User Account,
- password access to the new email account. You will need click a link in a system-generated email to new email address
You need not have full access to the old email address.
Both email addresses will receive a notification of this change.
Step 2: Login to the QuickBase User Account.
View My Preferences & Profile
The starting point, showing the old email address.
Make the changes to name and email address. Click [Save]
QuickBase displays an alert message.
You will be logged out of QuickBase, and will not be able to sign in until you receive an email to the new address and click a Verification Link.
Click [Continue].
Your profile is updated and you are logged out.
Step 3: Access the email account for the new address.
Locate the email from QuickBase.
Click the verification link.
A QuickBase confirmation is displayed.
Click the link.
The login screen is displayed.
Your password remains the same.
After login, verify the new name and email address.
